Let's Have Some Fun!!

Hey parents! Let's make this summer a time for fellowship! There are always an abundance of activities planned around the RGV during the summer months and we thought it was a great time to plan some playdates!

Please communicate with Kathleen or Gloria to ask to be part of our summer message thread on Facebook Messenger so that we can meet up and get our kids together for some summer fun! Please check the calendar at the bottom of this page and the information below and please inform us of any other events we might want to add!

Movie Fun

A summertime program for families to enjoy a night out at the park.  Families are encouraged to bring their chairs, blanket and picnic as they enjoy free popcorn and a movie projected onto a giant inflatable screen.  It is a great opportunity to meet and speak to some of our Edinburg Police Officers.  The event is held every Friday night at Edinburg Municipal Park, 714 South Raul Longoria Roa.d
Westside Park is the place to be for “Movies in the Park”, hosted by McAllen Parks and Recreation, all summer long! Enjoy a movie under the stars, and don’t forget your lawn chairs, blankets, and friends! The show starts at sundown. Snacks are allowed and food trucks and concessions will also be available. This event is not pet-friendly.
Carmike's Summer Movie Clubhouse for kids runs for eight weeks, from June 15 to August 3, with showtimes every Wednesday. Tickets are $1.50, with discounts for kid-size snacks during each showtime.

Summer Movie Clubhouse will take place at Cinemark Theatres locations across the country. When tickets go on sale, purchases can be made online or at the box office of any participating theater.

Bowling Fun

This program is designed by bowling centers to give back to the community and provide a safe, secure, and fun way for kids to spend time this summer.

Children ages 2-15 are eligible to register for 2 free games each day from June 1 - August 31, all summer long. Eligible times are between 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and between 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Parents must register their children online before visiting.
